Elective Online Courses – Self Study/Instructor Tutorial
Every year, there will be a limited selection of elective online classes available that can be taken to enhance and specialize a student’s certificate. Active students will receive dates of availability for these classes during orientation. Each student must notify The Bible Training Center Administration via email of the desire to take one or more of these courses. Check with your instructor or ministry advisor for details. These are not required to complete the Biblical Studies Certificate.
Practical Application (Required Second Year)
One of the purposes of completing this Biblical Studies program is to be equipped students to be able to teach. For this practicum, each student will be required to teach a laymen’s class on the subject matter assigned, lead prayer services, or any other ministry service as assigned through us or your church leadership.
Final Ministry Project (Required for certificate completion)
This project can be individual or completed as a group project. No more than three to four students can work together to bring a vision of ministry into reality. The team of students is responsible to envision, plan, strategize, and implement the outreach project. If the student chooses to do his/her final project individually, he/she must work out the detail requirements of the project with his/her ministry advisor.
Community Service Hours
(40 hours throughout the program; 20 hours each year is recommended)
Community service hours must be completed in a ministry of service capacity. The student may volunteer at the organization of his/her choice. A list of suggestions will be provided.
