Frequently Asked Questions
Here to Help
What is your denomination affiliation?
We are interdenominational. This means that we believe that the body of Christ is unified in the eyes of God. We focus on the truth of the inspired Word of God and base our fellowship on this, "By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world. (1 John 4:2-3, NASB)
Who is your covering?
The better question is who laid the foundation for us? We were founded in 2010 by Tim and Kris Mann of Church Builders International. We have a strong ministry relationship with them and work shoulder to shoulder on ministry projects as the Lord leads. Tim remains on the Board of Directors for the training center. He is also a regular guest instructor.
Do you have a certificate program?
Yes, we do. The complete certificate program is approximately 2 years long and consists of 20 classes.
Do you offer stand alone courses?
From time to time, we do have weekend seminars that are stand alone workshops. These courses come with full detailed systematic study outlines for future reference and study. Be sure to subscribe for notifications of upcoming events.
How often do classes meet?
Classes meet once weekly via Videochat. All classes are recorded for later viewing within the online classroom.
Do you have any prerequisites for classes?
The only prerequisite is a desire to know the Scripture for yourself. As a disciple of Christ, you are a lifelong student of the Word of God. We give you the tools to study more effectively.
Is homework required?
In order to obtain a Certificate of Completion showing competency, completing homework is required.
What kind of homework can I expect?
There is homework every week. Minimally it consists of reading to prepare for class, a self-evaluation of your preparation, 2-4 discussion board questions, and a word study or a character study post-class assignment. There will also be a final exam at the end of the class. Class participation, homework assignments, and the exam are all factored into the class evaluation.
Do you offer online classes?
Yes! The Biblical Studies program is an online program. All of our courses are recorded so students from all over the country share in our learning experience.
What is the cost?
We are unique in that your tuition cost is set by you based on your financial situation. Our aim is to be a resource in the body of Christ, without being a hindrance financially. Understanding that we are a faith-based organization that is completely financed through donations, we ask you to pray and let God give you wisdom concerning the amount you set for your financial covenant agreement with us for your tuition. This is a big decision, but worth the investment and sacrifice.
The suggested tuition donation of each class is $79 which includes:
Detailed study outline for class.
Minimum of 8 hours instruction via video or live video chat.
Ongoing one on one access to your instructors for class tutoring and mentorship.
Personal @thebibletrainingcenter.com email address
Class recordings for later viewing.
Online community with supplemental study materials, prayer forums, and discussion boards.
Do you have a payment plan?
Yes, we have several ways for you to pay for your classes. For individual classes, payment is made during online registration. For the complete certificate program, there are weekly, monthly and semester payment options arranged through your Covenant Agreement with us. When you go through the enrollment process, we explain all methods and types of payments we accept.
What do I get upon completion of the Biblical Studies Certificate?
You will receive a Certificate of Completion, an announcement sent to our network of ministries who recognize our training program, and ongoing mentorship to pursue ministry as you are led.
Do you provide licensing and ordination?
Yes, we do. After your Biblical Studies Certificate is complete, you may apply for licensing through one of our network ministries who will choose whether to give you licensing with the State. Though licensing is not automatic, the entire process will be explained and an application will be provided to begin the process.
Are your courses accredited?
Though we are not affiliated with an accreditation agency that is recognized by the Department of Education, we provide a collegiate level learning experience and have experience assisting with life learning credits that are accepted by most all non-traditional bachelor programs at accredited institutions. We can provide you with all the documentation you need to submit to your institution. Call your accredited institution regarding their policy on life experience credits.
